You can buy an option of "First Right of Refusal" on a Foal to be born. By putting down a non-refundable $400 deposit, you will get 1 month from the time of birth to decide if you want to finalize the purchase for the foal for a prior agreed upon amount. Deposit is non-refundable but does come with a Live Foal Gurantee . We also will consider offers for purchasing a foal "in utero" with a Live Foal Gurantee. Please note, the purchase of an unborn foal will not be less than the total cost of stud fees, mare care, board, vet, farrier fees incurred for both the mare and foal for the time the mare is pregnant and until the foal is weaned. Email us for more information.
Please note: we will not knowingly sell a foal to a first-time horse owner unless the foal is placed with a horse trainer.
It can be expensive to own and care for a horse. Boarding and/or training fees are usually over $300 a month.
Yearly veterinary vaccinations can average over $150 per horse for 1 series of shots. Foals will require 2-3 series of
shots in their 1st year. A quality foal is not a bargain buy, but is an investment in the future of a great performance/show horse. If price is the primary consideration for the purchase of a horse and you just want a nice horse to ride, please consider buying a horse from one of the local horse rescue groups or consider giving a retired horse a great forever home. Many older horses with good care can live well into their late twenties and thirties. If you are looking for an Arabian that is already under saddle to ride on the trails for around $3500, we recommend you take a look at Spirit of Texas Arabians sales page.
